Easy Bill Online Launches New Look v2.1.6
Hope you had a great holiday and a good new year. I know we did as we were hatching up some new features for Easy Bill Online.
New Look v2.1.6
- First thing you will notice is we have removed the left column, where the sub navigation links were. They now appear underneath the main navigation across the top. This allows more real estate for the left column, plus makes moving around the application easier and consistent.

- We’ve added scroll buttons for those with smaller monitors or a small browser window. This allows our multitude of modules to fit on the navigation bars. Just click the arrow to jump to the end, or hover your mouse over the arrows to scroll.
- When browsing anything, we’ve stripped the number action buttons to just three. Because any object whether it be an invoice or project, etc., has different functions, the three common actions are edit, view and archive. Therefore when viewing or editing the objects, you will have access to the more specific functions of that object within its respective screen.
- All the quick create screens are now pop-ups instead of it being a separate box on each landing page. Just look for the icon in the sub-navigation with the magic wand.
Latest Features
Ease of Use Options
We have added an ‘Ease of Use’ option, which can be found in account settings within preferences. What this does is either turns on wizards or simplifies certain create functions within Easy Bill Online. For example, when creating an invoice, it will break down the process into 4 steps, which creates an easier workflow. We realize creating an invoice has a lot of options, and by having one screen, our users often forgot to choose certain fields. With the wizard, it simplifies the process so you don’t miss anything, without us having to remove important features. You will notice with simple mode turned on, when you create a contact, we have simplified the form to make faster to create.
System Announcements
You will notice system announcements on your frontdesk at the very top. This is where we will announce any updates or maintenance messages for our users.
Upgrading Accounts
You can now upgrade your account from within the application. You will be able to upgrade or downgrade to different packages.
Fixed Issues
Time Zones
If you were having issues with notifications being sent out at the wrong time, it was because they were being sent out Mountain Standard Time. This has now been fixed. If you go into your preferences, you can choose your timezone.
Currency
By choosing your currency in preferences under account settings, this will be your default currency across the application. It was defaulting to Canadian currency before.
Create Invoice - Products in Alphabetical Order
If you had more than 15 or 20 products, it may have been tedious to choose a product when creating an invoice because the products in the drop-down were listed in order they were entered. They are now listed in alphabetical order so it will be easier to located your product(s).
Invoice PDF - Internet Explorer
Converting to invoice was previously giving a pop-up error in Internet Explorer. This issue has been resolved.
Converting Contacts
If you were having issues converting contacts to vendors or clients, this issue has now been resolved.
Calendar Event Quick Create
Events entered via 'Quick Create' were not showing on calendar but were showing in the activities list. These events will now show on the calendar.
